Green Gloucester
June 23, 2018 / In The NewsThe City of Gloucester is committed to clean, renewable energy and energy conservation. Gloucester has been officially designated a Green Community by the Massachusetts Department of Energy and Environmental Affairs.
In their August 2016 report “Renewable Communities,” Environment Massachusetts recognized Gloucester as one of 18 communities leading the way in the state in sustainability, renewable energy, and energy conservation.
Wind turbines can be seen above Gloucester at Blackburn Business Park, providing renewable energy to the city.
