Cocktail Recipes to Bring Some Holiday Cheer From Ryan & Wood Distillery

In 2006, Bob Ryan and his nephew Dave Wood founded Ryan & Wood Distillery with the dream of producing small batch spirits in their coastal home of Gloucester, Massachusetts on Cape Ann.  Although Dave Wood has passed, Ryan & Wood Distillery continues its commitment and legacy as a family-owned business with Bob, Kathy, Doug and Jennifer at the helm.

Steeped in blue-collar maritime history, Gloucester is an ideal “port of origin” for their whiskies, gins, rums, and vodkas. Their spirits are made the old-fashioned way in their copper pot and column still, fit for hard-working locals and world travelers alike.

Cranberry Manor

5 oz Beauport Vodka
0.5 oz fresh lime Juice
2 oz Cranberry Juice
1 oz Ginger Beer

Combine Beauport Vodka, Cranberry Juice, and Lime Juice in a shaker over ice. Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass of your choice, then top with ginger beer. Garnish with Lime wedge and fresh or frozen cranberries.

Red Sky at Night

1¾ oz Knockabout Gin
1 oz Grenadine
½ Fresh Lemon Juice
1-2 dashes Angostura Bitters
2 oz Club Soda

Combine Gin, Grenadine, Lemon Juice, and Bitters in a cocktail glass with ice and stir gently. Top with soda water. Garnish with lime wedge.

Reserve Old Fashioned

2 oz Ryan & Wood Cask Reserve Gin
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
½ oz Water
1 Cube of sugar
2 strip of orange zest

In a mixing glass, place sugar cube and douse with 2 dashes of bitters and water. Muddle sugar cubes and bitters.  Add the Cask Reserve Gin and 1 strip of orange zest. Add ice cubes to the level of the liquid and stir briskly. Strain in to a rocks glass over ice, and garnish with remaining orange zest.

Folly Cove Sparkling Gold

3/4 oz Folly Cove Rum
½  oz Cointreau
Chilled Champagne

Pour Folly Cove Rum and Cointreau in a chilled flute. Top with Champagne.
