Gloucester’s Culture Splash

Dive into the heart of Gloucester, one of Massachusetts’ most vibrant cultural hotspots, with the Annual Culture Splash series each July & August!

Gloucester is a rare gem that boasts two designated cultural districts, and each July and August, visitors are invited to Splash into Gloucester’s Arts & Culture on Thursdays from 4:00-8:00pm for Culture Splash! Back for a 4th summer in 2024, Gloucester Culture Splash is a series celebrating our arts and culture communities, musical talent, live performers, and creatives of all kinds with the scenic backdrop of Gloucester Harbor, which has inspired creative minds for centuries. This much-loved event series unites Gloucester’s Rocky Neck and Harbortown Cultural Districts to shine a spotlight on our rich tapestry of artists, galleries, nonprofits, museums, maritime history, and creative groups.

The 2024 event lineup is packed, with more participating cultural institutions, artists, musicians, makers, and performers than ever before! Culture Splash events take place between 4:00 and 7:00pm on Culture Splash Thursdays, and the Cape Ann Harbor Tours Water Shuttle will run for FREE each Thursday from 4:00-8:00pm to transport you between cultural districts with ease. New this year, The Cut is hosting Culture Splash After Hours with free live music in “The Corner” each Thursday starting at 8:00pm. The annual Gloucester Culture Splash series is made possible in part by grant funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the City of Gloucester, and is powered by generous community volunteers.
