An Informal Drop-in Block Printing and Collage Card-making Workshop

With Local Colors member artists, Bessie Blum, Susan Alvey, and Melissa Cox.
Using vintage batik fabric-printing wood blocks from Indonesia, and a wide variety of paper scraps, glue, markers, and ingenuity, participants may make a greeting card for any occasion.
All materials included.
This workshop is free, but the number of people who can participate at any one time is limited by the size of our workspace (probably up to 5 people at one time).
Please note that the focus of this activity is on PLAY, not on product, though you may walk away with a fantastic card as well. Also be aware that the inks used in block printing are not necessarily washable, so don’t come dressed in finery.
We will have refreshments for participants as well as visitors to the gallery at this time.
