Cape Ann Shakespeare Troupe continues its 2024-25 Season with “One-Act Wonders,” April 17-19, 2025. “One-Act Wonders” is a collection of four modern one-act plays exploring boundaries, loyalties, and the absurdities of life. The show will run for four performances only at the Gloucester Stage Theater, 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. Thursday and Friday performances are at 7:30 p.m., with two performances on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $28 and may be purchased at the door and online at www.gloucesterstage.com.

“One-Act Wonders” features:
“The Actor’s Nightmare” by Christopher Durang, Directed by Billy Lewand: A man unwittingly wanders into a theater where, unbeknownst to him, he is to understudy for several famous roles from theater history.

“Bed and Breakfast” by Richard Dresser, Directed by Mark Efinger: Two married couples collide in unexpected and hilarious ways during a vacation to Stonehenge.

“4am Open All Night” by Bob Krakower, Directed by Mark Efinger: A man, discontent with his home life, visits an all-night diner for some coffee and advice, and sees what might be the woman of his dreams.

And, introducing the staged premiere of “The Menders: A Vietnam Vignette,” by local author and performer Ashley Skeffington, Directed by Gerard Roy: In the middle of the Vietnam War, a brother and sister hold a conversation that may well change their family forever.
