Cape Ann Winter Birding Boat Trip

March 6 @ 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

Birdwatchers from New England and beyond flock to Cape Ann to participate in the Cape Ann Winter Birding Boat Trip each year.  Weather permitting, the Winter Birding Boat Trip will be aboard the Privateer IV, with 7 Seas Whale Watch on Saturday, March 6, 2021. Cape Ann is known worldwide for its exciting concentrations of Winter Seabirds, and the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce is planning a morning at sea which will delight all levels of Birders. Expert Guides will help you identify the winter birds you will see. In doing the boat trip in March, the hope is to see some of the early Spring migrant birds, such as Fulmars, and we hope to see some whales too – Right and Humpback in particular!

Don’t miss this special opportunity for bird lovers of all skill levels to join expert guides on a tour of one of New England’s most productive marine habitats at a time when most other passenger vessels have closed down for the year. This boat trip has sold out early in the past few years. Now is the perfect time to reserve your spot on the boat!
This year, they are bringing back this highly anticipated excursion in a safe and healthy environment. The boat will be operating at less than half capacity and they will also require physical distancing and face coverings for all. They also ask that each guest provide their own lunch and beverages. Hand sanitizer will be plentiful. Please note that organizers are closely monitoring state –re-opening guidelines and will notify participants of any changes which could alter plans for the birding boat trip.  The safety of their birders is our top priority!

The cost for this wonderful excursion is $75.00 per person.  Space is limited so please sign up early!
