Gloucester Memorial Day Observance

Stacy Boulevard Flag Display

On Monday, May 31, 2021, please join outside the flag pole at Gloucester City Hall for the observance of Memorial Day. This year’s Memorial Day observance will be held outside will consist of the name readings of all those who were Killed in Action or Died While in Service and those Veterans we have lost in the past year.

Memorial Day is the day we remember and honor those who gave their lives for their country. Discover Gloucester has a few online features for you to also discover during your visit to our coastal city.

The Gloucester Military Heritage & War Memorial Trail

Throughout the city, there are statues, plaques, historical markers, and memorials that commemorate and honor the military contributions of Gloucester’s citizens, from the Revolutionary War through to today. Flags along Stacy Boulevard

In the coming days of Memorial Day Weekend, Gloucester’s Ringo Tarr and a team of volunteers place donated American Flags along the seawall at Stacy Boulevard.
