Rockport Music- Shalin Liu Performance Center Community Coastal Cleanup in Partnership with Ocean Music Action

Rockport Music presents Ocean Music Action, an organization that presents carefully curated concerts centered around the shared love of the ocean, on World Water Day, Saturday, March 22, 2025. Each concert is paired with a volunteer activity in partnership with a local conservation organization. Ocean Music Action is excited to partner with Seaside Sustainability for a cleanup at Front and Back Beaches following their 11 am performance. In their “Dear Ocean” program, performers Kinan Azmeh, clarinet; Layale Chaker, violin, and vocals; Megan Conley, harp; Shawn Conley, bass; and Shane Shanahan, percussion will perform a program inspired by their shared connection to the ocean, featuring a premiere of a new piece by Chaker. Come hear the concert at 11 am, and then build community with the musicians and fellow audience members through the volunteer cleanup activity with Seaside Sustainability at 1 pm.
