Robert Shure and Lisa Benson from Skylight Studios will be in the exhibit gallery doing conservation work on Walker Hancock’s bust of Abraham Lincoln. Hancock was commissioned to create a statue of Abraham Lincoln in 1978 for the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. and a plaster bust was created as part of that project. This 1/3 sized plaster scale model of Abraham Lincoln will undergo conservation treatment in the gallery as part of the exhibition Portrait of a Sculptor.
