Silent Movie: Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror(1922) with Peter Krasinski

Hammond Castle Museum is once again teaming up with Cape Ann Cinema as they present a Fall Movie Series of four classic movies. Internationally acclaimed silent film live accompanist, Peter Krasinski returns to the castle for three engagements this season and performs alongside silent movie classics: Nosferatu, The Phantom of the Opera and Robin Hood. This series Bonus Feature Film will celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Highlander. Doors open at 6:45pm and the show begins at 7 pm. Parking is always free.

An unofficial (and unauthorized) adaptation of Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel “Dracula,” this German Expressionist masterpiece from F.W. Murnau features Max Schreck’s patently creepy performance as the iconic “Count Orlok.” (The production company, Prana Film, declared itself bankrupt after the film’s release to avoid paying for copyright infringement to Stoker’s widow).
