SUMMARY:Emerging Perspectives\, Works by Artists 18-30
DESCRIPTION:Gallery Hours: Friday – Sunday\, 12-5pm \n‘Emerging Perspectives’ is a juried exhibition illuminating the vital and evolving voices of the region’s next generation of artists. This showcase serves as a bridge between the storied traditions of America’s oldest continuously operating art colony and the imaginative inquiries of creators aged 18 to 30. \nSelected by the RNAC Exhibitions Committee\, the exhibition presents a focused collection of work that captures a moment of professional becoming. Spanning a wide range of media\, the collection reflects a deep commitment to personal exploration and the pursuit of a distinct visual language. By facilitating a dialogue between these rising artists and the established creative lineage of Gloucester\, the Rocky Neck Art Colony continues its 150-year legacy of fostering the future of the arts. \n‘Emerging Perspectives’ is an invitation to witness the initial professional steps of those who will shape our cultural landscape. It offers a rare glimpse into the burgeoning careers of artists as they transition their practice into the public sphere. We invite the community to observe this growth and support the creative spirit that defines our region. \nThe public is invited to celebrate these new perspectives at the Opening Reception on Sunday\, April 12\, 2026\, from 4-6:00pm. Join Rocky Neck Art Colony and the artists to experience the collection\, meet the artists\, and enjoy an afternoon of refreshments and lively conversation. \nArtwork by: (clockwise) Ben Laird\, Blocks; Ethan LeJeune\, Standing Stones; Rory Kenney\, Be There; Tia Camire\, Prey

SUMMARY:William Shakespeare’s RICHARD III presented by Cape Ann Shakespeare Troupe
DESCRIPTION:Shakespeare introduces one of his most notorious villains in Richard III. Richard\, the deformed youngest brother of the newly crowned King Edward\, vows to his audience to “prove himself a villain.” Armed with unparalleled skills of persuasion and deceit\, he murders and manipulates his way to the English throne. A strangely lovable villain\, Richard easily wins his audience over\, leaving us to question who we are truly rooting for. However\, a kingdom built on lies and ruthless ambition is destined to crumble. Richard entrances the audience with his wit\, cunning manipulation of language\, and vicious determination—qualities that once won his audience\, ultimately lead to his rapid downfall. \nPerforming from April 9th-12th and 16th-19th\, all performances are at The Natti-Willsky Performance Center\, Home of Gloucester Stage Company\, 267 East Main Street\, Gloucester. Showtimes are Thursdays-Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 3:00pm. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling the box office at 978-281-4433.

Throughout his career\, Sean has been the driving influence of 20 albums and over 1 million records sold. \nSean started playing guitar at age 16 listening to Neil Young\, Rolling Stones and Jackson Browne. Those influences mixed with his own poignant and timeless lyrics\, a unique and striking voice and a mind for melodies led to songs like Little Silver Ring\, Feel Us Shaking and Wild River. For many fans\, these aren’t new songs or old songs\, but anthems to their lives that represent the first time they met their wife or the joys of their times at college. \nThe Samples are more than a band – they represent a culture of fans and music that go beyond who happens to be playing in the band at any given time. There have been many members of The Samples\, but Sean Kelly has been the consistent factor throughout all of the changes. \nSean’s journeys across America have taken place in rental cars\, tour buses and pickup trucks that would have literally taken him to the moon and back over the last quarter of a century. There is a lot of music in store in 2025 and beyond from Sean Kelly and The Samples.
