Join fellow artists from all over the North Shore to paint beautiful vistas\, including the Essex River and the Great Marsh\, farm fields and landscapes\, and our eighteenth-century historic house and barns. Slow River Studio will offer free plein air sketching lessons for beginners throughout the day. Please sign up when you arrive. \nFree. \nBeverages and snacks will be available. Spanning a wide range of media\, the collection reflects a deep commitment to personal exploration and the pursuit of a distinct visual language. By facilitating a dialogue between these rising artists and the established creative lineage of Gloucester\, the Rocky Neck Art Colony continues its 150-year legacy of fostering the future of the arts. \n‘Emerging Perspectives’ is an invitation to witness the initial professional steps of those who will shape our cultural landscape. It offers a rare glimpse into the burgeoning careers of artists as they transition their practice into the public sphere.
