And why was Hammond absent during the first year of construction\, entrusting oversight of the project to one of the Hammond Research Laboratory’s engineers? \nJoin us as Collections Director Beth Welin takes us on a fascinating look back at 1926 as we explore the personal\, professional\, and historical events that shaped Hammond’s life during this pivotal year. Following her tenure as a pastry chef in New Hampshire\, Sue returned to school for a certificate in graphic design and put her talents to use as a designer in the book publishing and art publishing industries in Vermont. In early 2019\, Sue opened her own gallery and studio\, Arts Abound in Magnolia Village\, MA\, as an artistic haven for local artists. Through the gallery\, over 30 artists featured their creative works\, ranging from paintings\, hand-painted silk scarves\, silver jewelry\, and more. Sue also ran many workshops and classes featuring many of the artists. Often\, Sue would work late into the night\, painting in her Arts Abound studio. After closing the gallery in 2022\, Sue continued to offer the often sold-out painting classes\, taught by some of the Arts Abound artists. \nSue has studied under numerous artists to learn watercolor\, acrylic painting\, cold wax & oil\, and collage. Her goals for the Hammond Castle Museum sketch classes are to engage those who are new to the world of art and reinvigorate those who haven’t picked up a blank canvas or sketch pad in a long time. This enchanting adventure takes young ghosts and goblins across our drawbridge\, through winding corridors\, and into the majestic Great Hall. With multiple game stations\, spooky music\, a small craft & a scavenger hunt\, it’s perfect for family fun! \n*Please note: Strollers and oversized baby carriers are not allowed in the Museum. \nThis ticket grants you access to the Trick-or-Treat program. At the time of this event\, the Museum will be closed to tours. If you wish to tour Hammond Castle Museum on the day of the ticketed event\, Self-Guided Tour tickets may be purchased in the Museum Shop at a 20% discount. The last tours begin at 2:30 pm. Proof of purchase of the Trick or Treat event will be required. Little ones four and under are welcome free on Guided and Self-Guided Tours. \nAll proceeds from this program will support the restoration and preservation of the Museum.

Listen in as our Curatorial Director\, John Leysath\, presents on the History of Medieval Arms & Armor. Enjoy captivating performances for wandering artists\, including a storyteller\, a harpist\, a bubble faery\, and other enchanting entertainers. Plus\, little ones will enjoy our kids’ tent offering little princes and princesses crafts for hands-on fun. \nWe’re thrilled to announce that James B. Jones and Shelley Wolfe from the Emmy Award-winning Netflix series Love on the Spectrum have agreed to return as the King and Queen of our 2026 Renaissance Faire! The couple will be on-site on Saturday\, November 7th\, and will be available for photos! \nCosplay dress-up is encouraged for all ages\, but weapons of any kind are prohibited and will not be permitted on campus. \nYour admission includes access to the interior of the Museum and free access to all scheduled entertainment. (*Vendor services are not included. ) Little ones ages 4 and under are free\, but require a reserved ticket\, and kids ages 5 – 12 are just $10! Museum Members enjoy presale access to admission tickets. \nOff-site parking is required\, and free shuttles will be running all day. Listen in as our Curatorial Director\, John Leysath\, presents on the History of Medieval Arms & Armor. Enjoy captivating performances for wandering artists\, including a storyteller\, a harpist\, a bubble faery\, and other enchanting entertainers. Plus\, little ones will enjoy our kids’ tent offering little princes and princesses crafts for hands-on fun. \nWe’re thrilled to announce that James B. Jones and Shelley Wolfe from the Emmy Award-winning Netflix series Love on the Spectrum have agreed to return as the King and Queen of our 2026 Renaissance Faire! The couple will be on-site on Saturday\, November 7th\, and will be available for photos! \nCosplay dress-up is encouraged for all ages\, but weapons of any kind are prohibited and will not be permitted on campus. \nYour admission includes access to the interior of the Museum and free access to all scheduled entertainment. (*Vendor services are not included. ) Little ones ages 4 and under are free\, but require a reserved ticket\, and kids ages 5 – 12 are just $10!
