SUMMARY:Paul D'Angelo's 3rd Annual So-Long-To-Summer Comedy Show
DESCRIPTION:Besides headlining A-List comedy clubs for almost forty years\, Paul has also opened for over sixty internationally known recording acts including Ray Charles\, Aretha Franklin\, Tom Jones\, Tony Bennett\, The Beach Boys\, Chicago\, The Four Tops\, The Temptations\, The Doobie Brothers\, Jerry Lee Lewis\, Lyle Lovett\, and George Carlin\, and has performed in many famed entertainment venues ranging from the legendary Friar’s Club and the main ballroom of New York City’s Waldorf Astoria\, to the main showroom at Harrah’s Casino and Caesar’s Palace. \nPaul co-starred in the popular stand-up comedy movie The Godfathers of Comedy on Showtime\, and is also the author of six hilarious books that have won numerous literary awards. \nCarolyn Plummer. God help us. Some comics rely on the monumental events of the day or the faux pas of the rich and famous. Not Carolyn. Carolyn pulls material from the hum-drum\, day-to-day monotony of the life of everyman; and she does it well. To Carolyn the monumental is easy… it’s our existence that’s so hard\, yet so ridiculous. Some women look in the mirror and complain that they aren’t pretty enough\, not rich enough\, not young enough. Carolyn gives her reflection the finger.

The Jamaican born U.S. based artist has 5 highly acclaimed albums 4 of which charted top 10 on Billboard and iTunes. He is labeled as a touring machine with roughly 40 tours equaling thousands of concerts and a career spanning two decades. His high flying\, stage diving\, brand of reggae music is electrifying and has been captivating audiences everywhere. He has gone from being a fan of reggae music to being a major contributor to the art. Mighty Mystic came on the scene in 2006 after scoring back-to-back international hits with “Riding on the Clouds” and “Revolution”. However\, it wasn’t until the release of his first album “Wake up the World” (2010) that he became a household name. “Wake up the World” was a chart-topping album with guest appearance by reggae icon Shaggy. Mystic continues to wake up the world with energy and passion and a brand of his own which he emphatically calls “Hard Roots”. \nFUN FACT: Mighty Mystic is also the younger brother of current Jamaican Prime Minister the Honorable Andrew Holness. When asked\, does being the brother of Prime Minister Holness have any impact on your music? Mystic simply says “Andrew has a job to do and so do I\, impact or not we both have our own mission to complete”. \nTHE EARLY YEARS\nMighty Mystic was born Kevin Mark Holness in the farming community of Goshen\, St. Elizabeth\, Jamaica to parents Morris & Sonia Holness. When Kevin was 9\, the family left Goshen and relocated to Boston. Though oceans apart Kevin never lost the passion for his beloved reggae music. Kevin alongside his brother Stephen began performing at school talent shows\, outdoor gatherings and anywhere a mic was on display and quickly made a name for themselves as the “reggae rappers”. Soon after the brothers formed their first band the “Thunder Band”. Kevin became “Mystic” as it was his dads nickname and also the name of the area in Boston where he lived. With Mystic on vocals and Stephen on the lightening sharp guitar the brothers would score a National hit (Riding on the Clouds) and a Global hit (Revolution) on their two first releases. This early success and family bond would be the foundation of which carefully crafted reggae music would flow. \nMYSTIC OF TODAY\nThough his brother Stephen has since retired\, Mighty Mystic has continued to carry the reggae torch. And is now a Globally respected and sought-after artist on the reggae scene. His brand of “HARD ROOTS” with his high energy stage performance has been a magnet for the enthusiastic reggae fan base. SUMMARY:Deric Dyer - Music & Stories from a Life of Touring with Tina Turner and Joe Cocker
DESCRIPTION:Deric Dyer was born in Ireland and lived in England until 1967\, when his trumpet-player father moved his family to Bermuda – where Deric’s musical career began. In Spring of 1975\, after meeting Cliff Goodwin and joining the American Standard Band\, Deric moved to America. Just two years later\, ASB would become Joe Cocker‘s band. Playing in Joe’s horn section with the legendary Bobby Keys\, “Rolling Stones\, Stevie Wonder” Deric quickly learned the art of Rock/R&B sax. This proved to be valuable experience for what was still to come in his career. After a couple of years of playing with Joe\, Deric left to play and record with many of the best of Boston’s music scene\, a highlight recording with Rick Ocasek of The Cars on his first solo album Beatitude. \nDeric’s next life-changing opportunity came in January 1987\, when he had the good fortune to audition for Rock And Roll Hall of Fame -Tina Turner. He spent an amazing two years as part of her Break Every Rule World Tour\, and when Tina was paired with Joe Cocker on Summer festival shows in Germany\, Deric and Joe rekindled their friendship. Deric wasn’t home long from TT tour when manager Michael Lang (Woodstock Promoter) called to ask if he would like to re-join Joe Cocker and the rest of the band for the Unchain My Heart World Tour. Deric jumped at the chance to revisit that special time in his career. \nDeric continued to tour with Joe throughout the 80’s\, 90’s\, and 2000’s\, as well as playing with Roger Hodgson\, Al Jarreau\, Tony Hadley and Andrea Bocelli. Belgium’s Night of The Proms reunited him with his Tina band mate (and the best man at his wedding)\, John Miles. In 2012 and 2013\, Deric was asked to take part in the John Lennon Double Fantasy Bermuda Tribute Concerts\, where he worked with Maxi Priest\, Biggie Irie\, Roy Young\, Uzimon and many amazing Bermudian artists to celebrate the music of John Lennon. \nTwo years after losing Joe\, arguably the greatest voice in Rock & Roll\, Deric reached out to his old friends to ask if they could come together again to help keep Joe’s music alive. Their answer was a resounding “YES!” and “Mad Dogs Unchained” was born. MDU went on to play Worcester’s Bull Mansion (among other New England venues)\, release an hour-long documentary video with a live CD\, and travel Europe for eighteen shows in 2018. \nDuring the pandemic\, Deric also collaborated with James Duncan and Tony Brannon to produce “Hope!” – a song for the time – with the goal of helping lift the spirits of people everywhere. \nDeric Produced the Trilbee Kings album. Working with Executive Producer Rich Kneeland\, Deric & Rich\, with some of the best musicians in the world\, headed of to Los Angeles to record at the famous Sunset Sound Studios. Deric plays soaring solos that adds the final\, rich sound to the T.K. Album. \nOn July 4th 2023 Deric performed in celebration of Tina Turner at New York City’s Macy’s/NBC fireworks display\, seen live by millions all over the world. Later that year was a special guest speaker at the Tina Turner Museum – West Delta Heritage Center Brownsville TN. SUMMARY:Bella Rayne Band
DESCRIPTION:At just 18\, Bella Rayne is a self-taught guitarist\, vocalist\, and songwriter whose sound is quickly turning heads across the country. Born in the mountains of North Carolina and raised along the rugged coast of Mendocino\, California\, she blends rock and Americana with the improvisational spirit of the jam-band tradition—creating a sound that feels both timeless and strikingly new\, bridging generations of listeners. Her journey began during the pandemic\, when she pulled an old Stratocaster from her garage\, fixed it up\, and taught herself to play by ear—unlocking a voice and style entirely her own. She has since formed Bella Rayne Band\, a high-energy\, guitar-driven ensemble that has quickly become one of the most talked-about rising acts on the live circuit. Led by a young lineup of seasoned musicians\, the band has surged from small rooms to coast-to-coast stages and festival lineups in a remarkably short time\, with crowds growing at every stop. Their sets are explosive and ever- evolving—blending soulful Southern rock\, modern Americana\, and improvisational jam with bold reinterpretations of Grateful Dead classics alongside Bella’s own originals. The result is a sound that feels both timeless and unmistakably new\, often described as the next generation of Tedeschi Trucks Band with an alternative edge and a 70s vibe. With demand building nationwide\, the band recently completed recording singles for an upcoming EP slated for release in 2026—marking the next step in a trajectory that shows no signs of slowing down.\nDespite her young age\, Bella has already shared the stage with seasoned artists and respected bands: appearances alongside Allman Betts Family Revival\, Melvin Seals & JGB\, ALO\, Jackie Greene\, Oteil Burbridge\, and members of Terrapin Family have all added to her early résumé and she was touted as “one to watch” by her idol\, Susan Tedeschi in a 2025 Guitar World Magazine interview. In addition\, she has been invited to iconic stages nationwide including The Fillmore SF\, The Orpheum LA\, Sweetwater Music Hall\, The Hamilton\, and even celebrated her 18th birthday with a set on the Prudential stage at Bottlerock Napa festival. One of the most iconic moments of her rising career: she was entrusted to play the legendary guitar known as “Alligator” — once wielded by Jerry Garcia. That honor\, courtesy of Grateful Guitars Foundation\, has become a defining chapter in Bella’s journey and Guitar Player magazine recently recognized her as one of the players “keeping the Dead alive” alongside Jeff Mason (Dark Star Orchestra) and Tom Hamilton (JRAD) in an article from May 2025.

SUMMARY:King Yellowman
DESCRIPTION:Jamaica’s first dancehall superstar\, Yellowman ushered in a new era in reggae music following Bob Marley’s death. His early-’80s success brought the popularity of toasting — the reggae equivalent of rapping — to a whole new level\, and helped establish dancehall as the wave of the future. For better or for worse\, he also epitomized dancehall’s penchant for “slack” lyrics — that is\, casual violence\, sexism\, homophobia\, and general rudeness. Graphic sexuality was his particular forte\, reaching levels of explicitness previously unheard in Jamaica. It brought him numerous detractors\, but it was also a big reason for his early popularity. There was more to it than that\, though; Yellowman was one of the most verbally nimble toasters of his time\, with a loose\, easy flow\, a talent for improvisation\, and a definite wit in his wordplay. Plus\, all the boasting about his prowess on the mic or in the bedroom had to be over the top to be convincing: true to his stage name\, Yellowman is an albino\, which carries a tremendous social stigma in Jamaica. His rise to stardom was unlikely enough\, but his transformation from untouchable outcast into sex symbol was staggering — and may not even have taken place without his trademark lewdness. Shocking though it could be\, it affirmed him as a sexual being just like his listeners\, and was delivered with enough humor to let the audience know that he didn’t take himself too seriously. Bouts with cancer pushed him into more thoughtful\, socially conscious territory in the 1990s\, but his initial style remains the most influential\, paving the way for countless dancehall toasters to follow. He remained quiet through most of the 2000s before mounting a comeback with 2019’s\nNo More War.

And their Top 40 smash hit with Carlene Carter “I Couldn’t Say No” still stands as an 80’s classic. \nWhen Robert moved to Nashville to write and produce\, Kook\, Don and David lent their talents to artists like Peter Wolf (J. Geils)\, Barry Goudreau & Brad Delp (Boston)\, Carlene Carter\, Brian Maes\, Nick Lowe and many more. \nRobert Ellis Orrall has had over 350 songs (and five #1 songs) cut around the world and soundtracked in TV and movies llke “The Bourne Identity”\, “Hannah Montana” and “Freaky Friday”. He produced tracks for Love and Theft\, Cake Bake Betty and Taylor Swift’s 10X Platinum debut and followup EP. \nThe band regrouped to reminisce\, tour and record “467 Surf And Gun Club”\, an album John Hiatt called “absolutely joyful”\, Michael McDonald called “relevant and timeless’\, and said American Songwriter “The melodies\, counter melodies\, and killer performances constitute a unique blend of ‘60s-pop-meets-modern-indie songwriting.” They’ve released 5 new albums since then including “Wrong Thing” and “Wonderland”. \nThe band is touring from now to forever\, playing songs from all of their albums and albums to come\, listed below. SUMMARY:Los Lobos
DESCRIPTION:It’s a matter of time. 50 years to be exact. And in that time Los Lobos have created an unprecedented body of work\, a legacy of greatness. The numbers are staggering: 100+ gigs a year for five decades running\, crossing millions of miles to rock millions of fans. And that’s just at the live shows. In between they’ve recorded 17 studio albums\, 7 live LPs\, 3 compilations\, 2 EPs\, 2 DVDs\, and contributed 40+ guest appearances on their friends’ recordings—all garnering 4 Grammys\, an Austin City Limits Hall of Fame induction\, the ALMA Ritchie Valens Pioneer Award\, NEA and Hispanic Heritage Foundation Honors\, Congressional recognitions\, plus countless “Keys to the City” and “Los Lobos Day” celebrations. And those are just a few of the highlights. But beyond all the hoopla and applause (and the source of it all\, really) is the tremendous heart. Rather\, hearts. Cinco corazones. Five blood brothers who have dedicated their off-stage time to helping others\, working for peace and justice\, penning some of the most literate and important music of their time\, transforming the hard cries from the East L.A. barrio into songs of hope\, tales of common folk finding ways to endure. The young wolves were weaned on late-night radio’s soul\, R&B\, and doo-wop. Were cured through the African-American currents of the blues\, jazz\, and rock ‘n’ roll. An amalgam. As proud Chicanos\, their songs have always glistened with the distillation from their Mexican and Latin American roots— nourished by Norteña and rancheras\, buoyed by bolero and cumbias\, soaring on the rhythms of son huasteco and son jarocho. Los Lobos have helped spread the rich diversity of cultures across every continent\, throughout the global community. Kids in Antwerp now know about Aztlán. Residents of Luxor and Ghana are crooning Lalo Guerrero. People from Laos and Bulgaria are belting “La Bamba”—all thanks to The Wolves as cultural ambassadors. Talk about a living legacy. Talk about a productive half century. And in the true rebel spirit\, they did it all on their own terms\, against formula. For the ages. To our delight. Quite simply\, they are one of the tightest\, one of the best\, one of the most prolific bands ever. And\, amazingly\, with the original founding members as the pack the entire time. Unprecedented. As their liner notes put it\, quite simply: “Los Lobos still are David Hidalgo\, Louie Pérez\, Jr.\, Cesar Rosas\, Conrad Lozano\, Steve Berlin.”

DESCRIPTION:“Here’s to life!” Fans around the world can be found singing the chorus of the Roger Clyne-penned fan favorite “Mekong” and toasting their glasses in unison to celebrate life through rock-n-roll. And whether he’s wearing his Converse high tops\, boots or sandals\, Clyne’s blend of punk rock\, americana\, indie-pop and mariachi influences have made him\, drummer PH Naffah\, guitarist Jim Dalton and bassist Nick Scropos – collectively known as Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers – one of America’s best live rock-n-roll bands.
