History will come alive on the shores of Gloucester next summer, as local reenactors commemorate the Battle of Gloucester, an early naval skirmish during the Revolutionary War that led directly to the creation of the U.S. Navy. Over 500 reenactors will clash on both land and sea at Stage Fort Park.
