Placemaking: Our Library in Our Community
October 23 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Free
The Sawyer Free Library is proud to relaunch the historic Gloucester Lyceum with Placemaking: Our Library in Our Community, an evening with internationally renowned placemaking leader Ethan Kent, Executive Director of PlacemakingX.
Join us on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Sawyer Free Library, 2 Dale Avenue, Gloucester, for this special program exploring the vital role of the Library as a public space that strengthens connection, fosters civic pride, and brings people together.
The evening will begin with remarks from Mr. Kent, followed by interactive conversations with attendees throughout the Library’s newly renovated, expanded, and modernized spaces. These dialogues will culminate in Kent’s closing reflections, inspiring participants to consider how Gloucester can continue to build meaningful, inclusive spaces—starting with its reimagined Library.
This program is free and open to all, but space is limited and registration is required. Register today at sawyerfreelibrary.org.
